Basic Info
Name:Shirosaki
Bio
I am the monster under your bed
A creature with meat, a blood sucking creep
I feed on little children, I molest you when you sleep
I'm the monster in the water when you're swimming out too deep
I know all your dirty secrets, and I love the way you smell
I'll give you a ride, through blood and homicide
You know we're going to hell

Shhh, it's okay... it's just me.

Series: Bleach
Name: He technically has no name, but has started to go by Shirosaki when needed for the sake of convenience.
Age: He was created roughly one year ago
Gender: Male
Appearance: Shirosaki chose the first part of his new name for good reason, aside from being contrary to Kurosaki. He is entirely white - his skin, his hair, and usually his clothes. He's beyond simply being an albino, lacking even the slightest touch of normal skin pigmentation. This stark difference aside, he is the mirror image of his creator and former host, Kurosaki Ichigo. He stands just under six feet with the basic body shape of your average fit high school student, only with a bit more in the way of muscles. He has Ichigo to thank for all that fighting they've done, even when Shirosaki wasn't allowed out of his box to participate. As Ichigo grew and changed, so did Shirosaki.

There are a few even more unsettling traits to his body, ones usually overlooked in the shock of his pale form. The first of these would be his eyes, entirely black save for an orange glowing iris. They make it very hard for him to look anything but predatory, which suits him fine. His fingernails and toenails are also black - naturally, not from constant application of nailpolish as some may thing. Lastly, now and then one might get the "privilege" of glimpsing Shirosaki's tongue, mouth or gums... all of which are vein blue. Lastly, though Shirosaki has Ichigo's voice, it speaks with a sort of ghostly reverb to it. The sound gives yet another inhuman edge to his body.

These days, Shirosaki has abandoned the white shinigami uniform he once wore and has taken to dressing in modern fashions instead. He still favors white with black accents but he isn't above wearing a simple pair of blue jeans. He knows that just about anything will look good on him and he revels in the fact that he now has the ability to change costume at will. He's taking his new freedom and running with it.

Personality: Some might assume that Shirosaki is just Ichigo's opposite, but that would be over-simplifying things. A closer comparison would be to say he is Ichigo's evil twin, since he still has a lot in common with Ichigo. All those desires and deep secrets his counterpart kept hidden are merely brought to the forefront with Shirosaki. He loves to fight and he openly boasts about his abilities without even feigning modesty. Where Ichigo might quietly suppress any attraction to others, Shirosaki would gladly muse aloud about even the most passing perverse thought in his head. It's not that he doesn't understand the concept of restraint, he just chooses to completely disregard it.

Shirosaki is Ichigo's opposite in as much as he has the exact same base to him but decides to take that knowledge and experience in a completely different direction. He sees no need to silently brood about his situation and instead celebrates his existence, finding fun and humor in everything. Even (or rather typically) in things most other people wouldn't find funny. Violence, death, the humiliation of others, he sees a punchline in all of it. Is it just to be cruel? Perhaps... but it's also genuine. He sees no need to lie when the truth can be so much fun.

Yet Shirosaki isn't evil, at least not in the pure, black and white (enjoy my pun!) sense. He's not a good person by any stretch of the imagination, but he doesn't go out of his way to run around doing only evil things. Everything he does benefits himself in some way, even if it's just for the sake of a good laugh. He isn't about to wander into a maternity ward with a bottle of barbeque sauce and have himself a big dinner. While funny and quite possibly tasty, the consequences would be more trouble than the experience would be worth. He doesn't have and qualms against killing, but instead understands that being hounded by the law would seriously cramp his style. The gain must outweight the loss for Shirosaki to do anything drastic.

While we're on this crazy thread of Shirosaki's good points, we might as well bring up his emotions because yes, he has them. No one as constantly happy as he is could possibly not have them. He has the ability to form emotional attachments should he choose, though that whole gain outweighing the loss part comes in to play here. He's aware of his emotions enough to keep himself from getting too close to most people. Attachments were a burden for Ichigo and Shirosaki isn't in any rush to hobble himself with his own. He tends to assume that his personality is enough to keep others at bay, but if someone could manage to both not be put off by this and weasel their way in close to Shirosaki, then gasp! He might actually care for someone. Should this happen, Shirosaki would likely find one more thing he has in common with Ichigo - his complete ineptness at dealing with relationships.

Particulars: Shirosaki is now the owner of Zangetsu, Ichigo's zanpakuto, rather than being part of the sword's spirit. Having been part of the sword for so long as well as having had Ichigo stumble his way through the learning process for him, Shirosaki is now quite adept with the weapon and wields it as if it were second nature (which it kind of is...). He doesn't so much have a form or technique as much as an insane enthusiasm and a drive that lets him ignore the pain of his injuries until he is physically inable to continue.

Shirosaki can use bankai (the sword's final release state which grants more speed and power in this particular case) but isn't too eager to do so as of late due to the risk of opening himself to an attack by his inner shinigami and losing control of his body.

Canon History: Before Ichigo could run off to Soul Society to save Rukia from her fate, he needed to find his own spiritual power and his own zanpakuto. Since Ichigo wasn't dead, there were special steps needed to accomplish this. These steps led Ichigo's spirit to be chained up at the bottom of a pit in Urahara Kisuke's basement. These chains simulated the chains all normal human souls had connecting them to their world and past lives. With normal souls, if these chains aren't broken, they eventually pull out the core of the soul, letting the negative feelings and emotions left over devour and mutate the soul until it becomes a hollow - an evil spirit that feeds on the souls of others (that's an over simplification of things, but I'm trying to stay focused on the history part here). Ichigo's chains would eventually force a hollow transformation in Ichigo if he couldn't find a way to escape.

Ichigo has this nasty habit of not learning things until the last possible second. Whether he's a slow learner or just stubborn, this fact is what led to Shirosaki's creation. Ichigo took so long that the hollow transformation began. When he emerged from the pit, he actually pried a hollow mask off his own face. So in the same moment Ichigo received and connected with his zanpakuto, he also narrowly escaped becoming a hollow. Though escaped is perhaps too generous a term. The hollow was created, but shut out of Ichigo's body at the last second, restricting it to the same plane within Ichigo's mind as the spirit of his sword, Zangetsu. Still weak from having essentially just been born, Shirosaki merged with Zangetsu's spirit and began his waiting.

When Ichigo entered Soul Society, Shirosaki was watching. While Ichigo had control of the body, Shirosaki understood that Ichigo's destruction would mean his own demise as well. Several times Ichigo nearly met his death, saved only by the protective formation of a mask on his body to keep certain blows from being fatal. In one of these cases, while on the verge of death when fighting the captain of the eleventh squad, Zangetsu pulled Ichigo into his own mind for a lesson. There he faced off against his hollow for the first time, though even then he didn't realize who it was. Only in learning the name of his sword and calling upon his power did Ichigo defeat Shirosaki, who merely faded away with a laugh.

Ichigo was tested time and time again in Soul Society, finally forcing himself to learn his bankai in time to stop Rukia's execution. Just as he grew stronger, so did Shirosaki. When Ichigo used his bankai to fight for the first time, it left him open to Shirosaki's first take-over attempt. With his last conscious thought, Ichigo cried out to win the battle. As he blacked out, Shirosaki forced himself to the surface. Though Ichigo would never admit it, Shirosaki again saved their life by surprising and out-fighting Byakuya. After crippling Byakuya, while Shirosaki stood around gloating before dealing a final blow, Ichigo found the strength to take back control of the body. He ripped the still-forming hollow mask off, trapping Shirosaki back inside his mind.

From then on, however, each time Ichigo used his bankai he knew that his hollow would be there, ready to move in. When he first faced Ulquiorra and Yami, two Arrancar Espada that visited Karakura Town, he had to use all his energy to fight back another take-over. He was nearly killed in the process. Soon after the Vizard, shinigami with hollow sides they had learned to control, made their move to try and recruit Ichigo. However Ichigo was stubborn and refused. He didn't trust their group and remained determined to overcome this problem himself.

Crux: But he couldn't. Ichigo was lying on his bed in his room one afternoon, brooding quietly and thinking over his problem when Shirosaki surprised him. Even though the hollow had already been talking to him, Ichigo didn't expect him to be able to take over when he wasn't using his sword. He hadn't been aware that Shirosaki had overthrown Zangetsu in his mind and now, with his newfound power, was ready to move in. There was a struggle, of course. Another fight inside Ichigo's head while outside, his body, influenced by the hollow but without any specific attention, transformed and went on a mindless rampage. Urahara sensed that the creature was Ichigo, holding off longer than he should in mounting an attack to destroy the creature. In that time, Shirosaki won the battle inside Ichigo's mind and completely took over.

Tangent: Slipping into the driver's seat of Ichigo's body, Shirosaki stopped the transformation into the mindless hollow creature. Initially Shirosaki stopped the formation of his hollow mask over his new form's face in hopes of fooling Urahara and the others into thinking he was Ichigo, but Urahara and Ichigo's father sensed the change in the body's soul and took measures to restrain him in a specially designed cage. Slowly the body changed to reflect the new soul contained within it, the color leaving his skin and hair and his eyes bleeding to a permenant black. While Urahara tried to come up with a way to reverse the switch, Shirosaki managed to convince the visiting Orihime that Ichigo had taken over again and that if she could just hold him, he'd be strong enough to regain complete control. Orihime opened the door to the cell before Urahara could stop her and Shirosaki rushed out and escaped.

Fearing pursuit from Ichigo's allies, Shirosaki decided to find somewhere far, far away to hide. Somewhere where he could start living his own life the way he wanted it to be lived. Soeldei seemed the perfect place for that new start.

Allegiance: the Mafioso
Reason: They aren't about to restrict or judge him and clearly they're open-minded about different moral codes. The Cabal seemed too full of themselves and ready to deem him unworthy for him to even try to look to them as an option.
